Here at Erika Steele Jewelry, I design and handcraft each piece in my Indialantic based workshop. My business is a one woman show so below you will find my policies that are outlined in detail. Please understand that I adhere strictly to these policies. It is your responsibility as a buyer to read and understand my policies before placing an order. The act of placing an order indicates that you agree to and will act in accordance with my shop policies. All relevant information can be found below. After you’ve read this page in its entirety, if you have any questions that aren't answered here, please feel free to email me (ErikaSteeleJewelry@gmail.com) and I will be happy to answer your questions. Please use email for any important or time sensitive matters because Instagram DM or other social media is not reliable for this since it is a more causal platform and messages and comments can easily fall through the cracks.

  • How to Purchase 

Payment is accepted via PayPal through Squarespace.

 

  • Sizing 

Due to the handmade nature of my items, all ring sizes and chain lengths are final and cannot be altered unless the listing specifies otherwise.

Additional Chain length can only be purchased if the listing states that additional chain length can be purchased. At that point, additional chain can start at $1.00 per inch DEPENDING on chain.

Sizing information for each piece can be found both in the title and detail section of each listing for easy access. I size my rings using an industry standard mandrel of American ring sizes to ensure that my sizes are accurate with other jewelers. (A ring mandrel is a tapered tool you slide your ring onto to check the size.) Please note - when it comes to a wide band, which I use often for my rings, it may feel more snug than the size it reads on the standard mandrel. A wide band ring that is technically a size 6 on the mandrel may fit more like a 5 1/2 or 5, especially for those with a fleshier bottom part of the finger, like myself. For this reason, I recommend sizing up slightly - by 1/2 to a whole size - when purchasing wide band rings.

If you're unsure of your ring size, visit your local jeweler or visit the provided link via amazon for a sizer that can be purchased. I do recommend for wide bands, visiting a local jeweler if you’re still unsure.

Necklace lengths are always specified in the detail section of each listing. Please note that due to factors such as neck and bust size, torso length, etc. a certain chain length may appear slightly longer or shorter in the photo of myself modeling it than it will on you. Always read the measurements as opposed to only consulting the modeled photo that is provided.

Earrings come with the standard thickness of posts/hooks and all stud earrings will come with rubber backings.

  •  Packaging 

All jewelry arrives packaged and gift ready! All jewelry will come in a jewelry box or envelope. I use recyclable materials so that you may reuse or recycle after receiving. Each sterling silver item comes with a jewelry care card as well as a polishing cloth. Each package also comes with a business card, packaging slip, jewelry care card, a sticker (if they are in stock) and a hand written thank you.

 

 

  • Shipping 

All items are shipped Priority 2 day Mail. Priority Mail shipping is $8.00. This allows the buyer to have a tracking number along with insurance up to $50.00. I do not offer Standard Shipping. If you would like to add Priority Express Mail, insurance, or any other shipping upgrades, please contact me prior to purchase.

Please understand that I design, create, package, and ship all orders by myself as well as run all social media platforms, and answer all messages/emails. Because of this, if you are in a rush and need something shipped/made within a specific time frame (ex: birthday, anniversary) PLEASE be sure to message me BEFORE you order. 

Delivery itself takes anywhere from 3-10 business days in the US, and for international orders, it can range from 10-30 days but it could be longer depending on your country’s customs. If you are in need of faster shipping, please contact me before you have placed your order or choose EXPRESS PRIORITY SHIPPING at checkout!

MTO & PRIORITY SHIPPING- Your process time is expedited, however, your order is processed in the order it was received. IF my custom-jewelry or MTO list is full, you will still receive priority shipping but your process time may take longer. 

It is the buyers responsibility to contact me if: faster shipping, signature confirmation, insurance or any upgrades are needed. 
Erika Steele Jewelry is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. As soon as your package has shipped, Erika Steele Jewelry is no longer held liable or responsible for your package. Please contact me if your item has gone missing. USPS must be contacted in regards to lost or stolen items. 

If orders are returned, because I was not given a proper address or if USPS claims it was undeliverable for any reason, the buyer will be required to pay an additional shipping fee if the item is returned to Erika Steele Jewelry. Once Erika Steele Jewelry has received the undeliverable package, a new shipping label will be created and the package will once again be sent via USPS. The buyer agrees to paying full USPS shipping price, unless the buyer prefers to have their order refunded. Only once the item has been returned will the buyer be refunded (item must be in original packaging and unopened). Please read my policies on refunds if pertaining to this situation. If a buyer has given an improper address and would like the address updated, this may not be possible without having the order canceled and repurchased with the correct shipping address.

International buyers are responsible for providing all necessary customs information prior to shipment. International buyers are ALWAYS responsible for any customs tax, fees, or charges that might occur. Buyers can contact their countries customs department prior to ordering to find out what these fees will be to avoid confusion. Erika Steele Jewelry cannot and will not change the price of an order on customs information, or mark as a gift for any reason to help with customs fees. International orders are subject to search, there is nothing that myself, or Erika Steele Jewelry can do about/prevent this process. International buyers are ALWAYS responsible for any/all duties and customs charges. Check with your countries customs policies prior to purchasing to know what you will be required to pay. I am not responsible for possible duty and import taxes. I am not responsible if the package is lost or delayed during shipment. No compensation will be made due to USPS shipping errors under any circumstances.

  • Returns 

To avoid the need for refunds or exchanges, PLEASE read shop listings thoroughly. I work hard to write clear and concise descriptions that contain all the information necessary to avoid confusion and make an informed purchase. Most issues are easily avoided by a thorough read of the item's listing and examination of the photos.

I do not allow returns or exchanges based on wrong size or buyer's remorse. Please know your size and budget and think carefully about your purchase before ordering my jewelry. All listings include sizes and measurements.

If you are truly dissatisfied with your purchase or there was a mistake on my end, please contact me and we can discuss the best option. My goal is to satisfy all of my customers, and I'm willing and ready to resolve any issues to the best of my ability. The buyer is responsible for any shipping fees for returns. The buyer must provide returned shipping information INCLUDING a tracking number - if tracking is not provided to Erika Steele Jewelry for the return, a $8.00 fee will be kept from the refund. 

 

 

  •  Jewelry Care 

Handmade jewelry is artwork and should always be treated as such to ensure its longevity. Please use common sense when wearing your jewelry. Care for your jewelry as you would any precious and highly loved object. Avoid wet and strenuous activity while wearing jewelry and remove for swimming, getting in the ocean, showering, applying lotion, playing sports, hand washing, etc. Various chemicals found in perfume, sprays, and other cosmetics can damage stones, metal, and patina, which can cause spotting on the metal, and amplify the tarnish process. No polish or patina is 100% permanent, but it can last a very long time with mindful and intentional care. 

Sterling tarnishes with exposure to oxygen and moisture, so be sure to store your jewelry in a dry location. Anti-tarnish pouches are also readily available online, via Amazon, and in many jewelry stores. To remove tarnish, simply use a polishing cloth (I have provided a cleaning cloth with your purchase) and gently rub the piece with even pressure but be sure to avoid digging into intentionally blackened areas, as this will remove the purposeful and detailing patina. Never place your jewelry in a cleaning solution. Long term exposure to sunlight can increase tarnish and damage or fade the color of certain stones so be sure to leave your jewelry in a jewelry box or enclosed, preferably airtight container.

  •  Repairs 

I always construct my jewelry with the utmost care and high quality materials. They are built to last lifetimes, but all jewelry occasionally needs a little bit of love/upkeep. Should that arise, please be sure to contact me via email (ErikaSteeleJewelry@gmail.com), with an explanation and photos of the damage or the issue. This, along with cost and timeline, is always assessed on a case by case basis. Please note that if another jeweler makes adjustments to a piece that you have purchased from my shop, I will no longer accept that piece to do any repairs or adjustments. This includes engraving. Please note that if you are mailing a repair, you must provide me with a tracking number.

 

 

ABOUT CUSTOM WORK

 I do take requests for custom pieces, I am happy to make jewelry that's perfect for you or a loved one! There is no extra charge for customizations. Customs will require a deposit of $25.00 prior to starting the order. The deposit will be deducted from the original amount discussed and the final price will be the remainder of the cost. Customs can be paid in full. You will also be charged a shipping fee. Please see the CONTACT button to reach out regarding a custom! Deposits are to be paid within 24 hours of notification. Deposits are non refundable, customs are non refundable.

 CUSTOM INVOICES OR DEPOSIT INVOICES ARE TO BE PAID WITHIN 24 HOURS TO AVOID CANCELATION. I ONLY HOLD CUSTOMS FOR 30 DAYS FROM TIME OF ORIGINAL INVOICE, IF YOU DO NOT PAY, YOUR ITEM WILL BE PUT UP FOR SALE IN THE SHOP.

If ordering a custom ring, the buyer is responsible for sending me the correct size upon purchase. Please specify your ring size at checkout by simply commenting in the comment section. If you purchase and forget to add your ring size, please message me directly. Production will not start until the ring size has been sent which can delay the process time so please be mindful of checking your inbox during the process.-No coupon codes on customs. If a custom is purchased and a code is used, the transaction will be canceled. All customs are shipped with priority shipping.


 I am not responsible for any stones mailed to me. Please package them carefully, I will message you upon their arrival. If they arrive broken, I am not responsible. If your package is lost in the mail, I am not responsible. A tracking number MUST be sent to me after being shipped. I am not responsible for the item once shipped. If you mail me stones for a custom, please read and comply with my policies regarding shipping stones. If you do not pay for your custom and you have mailed me your stones, I keep the stones in exchange for payment or until payment is received. Jewelry care- Though your jewelry is durable, it should be taken off during strenuous activity to ensure longevity.

If you have emailed me through PayPal it will go to my personal email so please make sure to check the address prior to sending.

 

-MTO & PRIORITY SHIPPING- Your process time is expedited, however, your order is processed in the order it was received. IF my customs or MTO list is full, you will still receive priority shipping but your process time may take the quoted time. if this is a problem, please message me and I would be happy to refund you for the difference in shipping costs from priority to standard. 

-If you won a free item with your purchase and it was promoted so via social media, your item is treated as a final sale.

-As a buyer, you are fully responsible for thoroughly reading and understanding my listing descriptions and shop policies, please be an educated buyer. By ordering from my shop you are agreeing to comply with all of my policies. PLEASE BE A RESPONSIBLE BUYER!
